Nobody mints a HashFat. You mine one.
HashFats is a proof-of-work NFT collection on HyperEVM. Your browser grinds hashes. Beat the target, pay the epoch price in HYPE, and the next Fat is yours, drawn onchain from the hash you found.

Dry runThe contracts aren't deployed yet, so nothing here costs anything or mints anything. The rig runs the real search against a practice challenge so you can see what your machine does.

Four things a Fat does
It gets mined, it gets paid for, it earns, and one day it might get cooked. The half-minute version:

Grind hashes
Your machine hashes your wallet address with a nonce and the last Fat's winning hash, millions of times a second. A hash under the target wins. Nobody can copy your answer out of the mempool: it only works for your address, and it stops working the moment someone else mints.

Pay the epoch price
The first 16 Fats cost nothing but work. After that every epoch is twice as long as the one before and costs twice as much: 0.02 HYPE, then 0.06, then 0.14. By epoch 10 a Fat is 20.46 HYPE and the work is a thousand times harder.

Collect rent
70% of every mint is paid to the Fats that already exist, split equally between them. Mine early and every later miner pays you. Collect whenever you like. The rent belongs to the Fat, so it goes with it if you sell.

Or render it down
Burn a Fat and it renders into LARD: 500 for an epoch 0 Fat and 500 more for each epoch after. That is the only way LARD is ever created. The Fat is gone, its rent stops, and there is no undo.
There is no cap. There is a wall.
Price and minimum work both double every epoch. At Fat #16,384 the epochs give way to a wall: from there the work needed climbs with the square of the distance past it. Anyone can keep mining. Almost nobody will want to.

- At the minimum work, a laptop on CPU needs about 14 min, a decent GPU needs about 11 s. The real target is usually harder: it tightens whenever Fats come faster than one every two minutes.
- This mint pays 0.00162 HYPE to each of the 2,205 Fats before it.
- Held until the wall at #16,384, it collects about 17.10 HYPE in rent if nobody renders. Fewer living Fats means a bigger share each.

Every Fat is drawn by the contract
No image host, no metadata server. The winning hash is hashed once more to make a seed, the seed picks eight traits, and the contract paints 1,600 pixels from data stored onchain. These twelve are drawn in your browser by the same code.
What the seed chooses, and how often

Where the HYPE goes
Every mint price is split in two the moment it is paid. No treasury, no team cut.
- Rent is shared equally by every Fat alive when the mint lands. Rendered Fats drop out, so the ones left earn more.
- The Furnace buys LARD from the pool with its HYPE, a few HYPE at a time, and burns what it buys. Anyone can press the button.
- LARD starts as 1,000,000 tokens, minted once to the deployer to seed the pool. After that it only exists when someone burns a Fat for it.
- 5% of any LARD moving into or out of the pool is burned on the way.

Read this before you spend anything
- The contracts are not audited.
- They are tested and the source is in the repository, but nobody independent has reviewed them. Only put in what you can lose.
- You can lose the race.
- If someone else mints while your transaction is in flight, yours reverts. You pay gas for the failed attempt, not the mint price.
- The price only goes one way.
- Each epoch costs double the last. Rent from later miners is not guaranteed: if people stop mining, the rent stops.
- Rendering is permanent.
- A burned Fat cannot be brought back, and LARD has no promised value. It is worth what the pool says it is worth.
- Buybacks are best effort.
- The Furnace spends its HYPE in small public chunks with no price floor. Some value can leak to whoever trades around it.
